2020 Coins, Any possible Low-Mintage, Key Dates

With 2020 being somewhat sluggish economically because of CoVid-19, do you think there will be any low-mintage, key dates ??

Any discussion is welcome.

Thanks,

Chris

Not a chance. With the coin “shortage” the mint will likely release even MORE coins this year than before. If people start spending cash again as normal next year might show a small dip but don’t expect any low mintages unless you think something like 500 million is low.

The W minted quarters will be low at 2 million per design but other than that I don’t think so.

The "W" mint state nickel that will be included with the 2020 mint set will be a low mintage. No idea how many the mint has struck, but the set isn't being released until November 30th. Once released it will probably be available to purchase for the next 3 years or so.

No. The age of "key dates" has long since passed. Today it is just a question of how common they are.

The mint markup on already high priced PMs will put a dent in some of their PM collector coin sales.

Sales numbers for the uncirc AGE W mintmark are not available but at such a high premium they will likely come in low.

The other "low mintages" for 2020 will be all of the reverse proof Innovation Dollar coins. That won't make them scare, however, they will be some of the lowest minted this year.
