First strike eligibility dates

I have unopened 2006 gold and silver eagle sets as well as the 2011 silver eagle sets. What’s the cutoff date for submissions to get the FS designation? Thanks a lot in advance. Ray

    PCGS has it here:

    https://www.pcgs.com/firststrike

It will be difficult to convince them it’s “first strike” label worthy.

Thanks a lot. I see they’ll do the 2011 sets, but I’ll have to call them about the 2006 sets. Have a great day! Ray

The OP stated that the sets were "unopened". I ASSume this means shipping boxes from the U.S. Mint.

Your link indicates that PCGS will accept "unopened" shipping boxes "from the U.S. Mint with a postmark date prior to the specified PCGS cutoff date".

Is PCGS no longer accepting 'unopened/postmarked' boxes for FS designations?

No idea but I’ve read that it’s hard to convince them if it’s not shipped to them within that time. The best answer is a call to PCGS Customer Support.

    @TurtleCat

Thanks for the response, and the 'information/suggestion'.

FWIW, I recently submitted several 'unopened/postmarked' boxes to PCGS for FS designation. No issues. YMMV.

Thanks for the info. The date for 2011 is 7 dec 11. I am enclosing photos of the 11 set. The customer service individual said they didn’t start first strike until 2007 as is listed on the Pcgs web site. I then asked him to lookup one of the enclosed cert numbers. Or do these not exist. My 2006 gold and silver are somewhere here. I don’t know when I can find them...

That is not true about 2006, they did issue First Strike, You can lookup the 2006 gold buffalo proof coins and find First Strike issues. I just recently sent them a question about that as I have (10) 2006 gold buffalo proof coins I was thinking about sending in. I have not gotten a response yet.

As I dug a little further, I have 1st eagles going back to 2002. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen earlier in the past as well. Still waiting for our host to give us more dates. Ray

I found the details on 2006 20th anniversary sets - specifically the 2 piece gold and silver set appears to be Oct 24, 2006 for first strike.

Im have a tough time finding out from our hosts the cutoffs for 2006-W Gold Fractional Eagles and also 2006-W Platinum Eagles (all burnished unc). It s been 2 weeks now and no one can seem to help. What is going on with our hosts? This answer would have been communicated in a day or two - not weeks?
Also, FS guidlines online does not give year 2006 - stops at 2007 historically - so no need to paste link. Its not there.

Not sure if it will help, but I found this old Mint "press release"...

"New Uncirculated American Eagles Available September 28 in United States Mint 2006 Holiday Collection"
    Source

Edited to Add - Did NOT check for all available sizes, but I did find these FS coin numbers:
    ~ $10 Au - 857847
    ~ $25 Au - 857848
    ~ $10 Pt - 21121
    ~ $25 Pt - 21122
