1855/4 GB Penny?

Hi Everyone,
We just received this piece back from PCGS: https://www.pcgs.com/cert/40396601. We can't find the overdate listed anywhere and wanted to see if any specialists in British copper knew of such an overdate or if it might be die flaw instead? I have attached close-ups of the date.

Hmmm, nice photos. I am inclined to NOT accept it as an "over 4" overdate. IMO, it looks more to be a 5 repunched over a broken 5 - based on the damage under the top stroke of the 5 and the circumferential tracing of what appears to be the lower loop of the under digit inside and to the left of the overpunched 5. The extra bit of metal to the right of the top of the overstruck 5 does not seem to match up to 4s of the time, which have quite sharp vertices at top of digit.
Also what appears to be the crosslet of the 4 is NOT accompanied by a parallel stroke of the back of the PCGS-presumed 4. And the top of the "crosslet" at the presumed 4 has a residual [if this is to believed] of a smaller cross stroke; this is seen better in the second from bottom photo.
Look at internet images of the digit "4" of other 1854 pennies.

That having been said, who can be certain? They certainly were overstriking digits on pennies at that time. Interesting. Predecimal has an ongoing discussion of Bramah (sp?) and the datals on pennies of this era.

    Well, just Love coins, period.

Thank you, @7Jaguars . We'll post it on Predecimal and see if any users there have further information.
