USPS delivery timetable to PCGS

coinkatcoinkat Posts: 24,385 ✭✭✭✭✭

Just curious as to the number of days it takes for priority mail to arrive at PCGS. Currently it seems there are delays... Are we looking at 7-10 days?

If possible I would recommend waiting to send, postal issues are running high right now.

I sent a Priority package on August 26 from Texas. Was received yesterday at PCGS, but not entered into the system yet. I put a note on the outside of the package noting "Express Service."

Everything is off right now. It probably also depends on if your package ends up at a troublesome hub or not. I sent a registered package and it’s been 7 days since the last scan into the system. I just assumed it’ll take weeks to take the journey.

Packages sent priority, registered, and express have been fine for me lately. It is the first class mail that seems to be delayed quite a bit.

I feel for yall in Texas. There should be a PCGS facility there and on the east coast.

Back in the day, Temecula was this little town of about 230 people.

2 day priority from mid states to pcgs takes 2 days. No problems.

I sent one on 8/29 and received on 8/31 from north California. It is normal to me.

I had a parcel mailed from an auction house back in early July by priority and it took five weeks. Frankly I wouldn't mess with priority right now - even the postal clerks who are supposed to be selling it say it sucks right now.

    12 days by priority.

I started this as an effort not to complain but to help reset arrival time expectatins.

I have been here for 13 years. The growth just in that time has amazed me. Almost all the way out to Hemet. When I was kid Temecula was considered desert.

Last package I sent was express. Seems like a third of those arrive late (= free shipping there), but this one arrived on time. Of course, it's been in "received" status for 4 weeks, but that's a different issue.

    Took 2 weeks from NY.

I wonder why it takes 2 weeks from NY and only takes 2 days (priority) from MO?

Truck routes... 24 driving hours on I40 from Joplin...

41 driving hours on I40 or I80 (a mess through Chicago) from NYC.

If you track it, it stops every 6-8-10 hours due to driving time limits. Then it has to cycle through the arrival/departure at that postal hub. If it misses today's truck, it waits.

I had a FexEx package take 2 weeks from NY to TX... You know that sick feeling in the pit of your stomach when you see something coming from Corporate and they're doing layoffs??? Luckily it was just a couple of face masks for when we go back to the office in 202x...

Ok, guess the USPS is different than it used to be! They are not flying like used to, I guess I have been lucky.
