    Wow, those are beautiful.

    Unless one is familiar with the series, it's hard to appreciate how few survive in really nice grades, like these.

    The first note, the 5 cent green back, has especially huge margins and the embossing is exceptional. All are top quality and that seems to be the common theme in your fine collection.

    These historical notes were circulated for a decade and a half. The fifth and final issue represents the notes in circulation during the mid 1870s, when silver coin hoarding finally ended and the mint was able to produce enough coin to meet the commercial needs of the Nation.

    Collector and dealer in obsolete currency. Always buying all obsolete bank notes and scrip.
