    welcome!

nice to see a wildman toner from time to time and that one qualifies.

odd the toning is so diff from obv/rev.

    edited to add:

stellar images through the slab. not many can do that.

It used it be in a soapbar anacs holder.

I'm sorry but I just do not buy that toning, I know the grading people do but at one time 10-15 or so years ago I looked at many many toned Morgans and this would have been one that at the time in a raw state many would have agreed AT. I for sure do not want to start that debate and I won't. Just my opinion

Not something that I would be attracted to, but as long as you enjoy it that is all that matters.

This coin was bought from the late Mike DeFalco, the dealer who supplied many of the coins in the Sunnywood Simpson collection. It was purchased in 1978 by my father.

Hey I was only giving my opinion, you probably know more about toning then I do. Was only making a statement based on my own experiences. Was just my thoughts

    Al,

Ha, I started using that many years ago when all of the toned coin debates were going on.I have no problem with toned morgans I just have different opinions on what is AT and NT

Classic EOR. To be honest, I think it was worth more in the old ANACS holder.

FWIW it is blatant NT IMHO. Whether it is attractive or not is in the eye of the beholder.

I regret taking it out. I have 2 other stunners in old ANACS still. Is there a way to post youtube video via links?

Define "big $$$$$." I may be mistaken and confusing this for another coin/poster elsewhere, but OP weren't you offered $2k for it in the ANACS holder?

I'm nearly 100% certain this coin was graded and holdered by ANACS/Amos with the current obverse toning. EOR toning as @cameonut2011 stated. Most or all of the reverse toning was picked up since encapsulation in the small ANACS slab.

I think you just copy and past the URL and the forum software does the rest.

I've posted this coin on Cointalk before a few times. I was offered $1k.

Well, I meant big $$ for a common date coin.
Although 04-O doesn't come vibrantly toned as often as some other dates.

I posted a photo of it here in the old anacs slab. I have a better video of it

Nice end roll toned Morgan, looks to be appropriately graded in the PCGS holder. The old ANACS slab imparted the toning on the reverse as those old ANACS holders are known to do that.

That was a pretty decent buy for $35.00...

Based on your video post of the same coin ... it seems like your pics here over saturated the colors. Regardless, toners are fun. 🤠

I need to have Todd Pollock at BluCC take professional photos. I take pictures on an old DSLR with a $75 macro lens in a box lined with black paper and two mismatched Walmart LED lamps.
