Albert Pujols now 2nd ALL TIME in RBI

Wow. Had no idea he was approaching that milestone. Of course knew that he is a hell of a hitter and was certainly going to be up there and a hall of famer but 2nd all time in RBI is no joke. Seeing that he's 40 and this season is only 60 games I'd imagine he'd need to play at least 2 seasons beyond his current contract to get past Hank Aaron. Also related - how time flies - can't believe he's into year 9 of the 10 year deal with the Angels (and its been that long since he was a Cardinal)

Do you mean 2nd all time for right handed hitters?

Aaron has 2297, Ruth has 2214 and Pujols has 2087.

Apparently since RBIs weren't recognized as an official stat until 1920 they only officially count Ruth's RBI 1920 on for record purposes. But you are correct that it generally recognized that he had 2214
