I'm thinking about going through this 1990 Donruss complete sets 1 and 2 to see what I'm working with. Never has been taken out, except for me to see the Puzzle Set just now. Look like perfect condition. I should be looking for the Griffey Jr., the Nolan Ryan strikeout misprint/ other Nolan Ryan's, Maddingly test card, Sammy Sosa Rookie, right? Any other desired cards in this collection? These are just the first that came to mind. Let me know. <Thanks!

I always loved that set. I still have mine that includes all the errors and variations. I was lucky enough to trade all my junk year sets and cards away for some vintage back in the early 90's. this was one of the sets I kept though.
Larry Walker rc and Bo Jackson.
Juan Gone reverse negative.
Kiss me twice.....let's party.
Bernie Williams rookie.
Thank You! I appreciate it.
My son was 12 years old at the time. We jumped in with both feet hunting the errors/stars...here is was I have now.
2 ea. 5000 sort box full of regular players.
1 complete hand set with all errors/variations.
800 sort box all MVP only
800 sort box all errors only
800 sort box DK only
800 sort box HOF/steroid players/border line stars.
13 wax boxes unopened
2 cases rack packs, falling apart because of the crap glue.
Still a fun rip, even today.
Don't ask about 1990 Score, Yikes!
Did the factory sets contain any of the error cards such as Ryan and Gonzalez or were those found only in wax, rack etc packs?
Also when did Donruss start the practice of wrapping the cards in a plastic wrap of 50 cards or so in a white box? Have an 85 Donruss set in that fashion.
Thanks for anr replies.
I have said before PSA should start grading individual Donruss Factory “packs”.

They don’t even have a holder for 1989 Fleer (Too thick) last time I submitted a Griffey pack. I like the idea, but the cost of producing the holders vs demand seems unlikely.
The factory sets don't contain any of the more popular and widely-known errors (Sierra DK, Juan Gonzalez RevNeg, Nolan Ryan swapped backs, All-Star incorrect backs, Downing DK, Smoltz MVP, etc. I haven't ripped enough to say what is in there for the extended E&V checklist that I've created, which does contain some tough cards like numerous All-Star front variations for certain players.
The main errors were early and brief so I suspect factory sets are watered down.
