You have British Historical Medal #1949 (Eimer #1345) in white metal which celebrated the birth of Albert and Victoria's first daughter. It was produced in 39mm and 45mm versions. The reverse shows Mercury receiving the infant from Brittainia with Cupid on the right. "A pledge of mutual love"

Definitely white metal. Aluminum was a precious metal in 1840.
The refining process for aluminum wasn’t perfected until 1886.
Finding an AU or BU vintage white metal medal is always exciting. Very nice. Peace Roy
