Brown Tarnish on a PR69DCAM 2005 Silver VW State Quarter in the Slab

Hi All, I started collecting some state quarters to give to the grand-kids and buying PR69DCAMs from a "Serious Auction" place on eBay. All of the 30 Silver quarters I received so far are nice and shiny except on the 2005 Silver VW quarter, which has brown tarnish on G. Wash's hair and in front of his forehead. Also, a very noticeable brown tarnish under the bridge and on the mountain on the reverse side. The slab is not cracked. Is this normal (1 out of 30)? Should I keep it as a novelty item, or return it? Thanks.

If you are not happy with it ... send it back and get another one.

    Agree with the above.

But...silver does tarnish, depending on the storage conditions (or part of the country). Expecting them to stay perfect will very possibly end up in disappointment. I don't know if common slabbed state quarters have a bright future financially but they also might not stay totally bright to look at.

    Welcome to the forum! :)
If you just purchased it and can return it that might be best. Otherwise you could sell it and buy another one.
If all of your other coins are bright this one might bother you.
