I couldn't initiate a PM to you, but replying inside an existing PM chain seemed to work. Strange.
It puts a real damper on trying to sell on the BST

Actually, I stand corrected. I can enter a recipient manually. You need to actually select the desired recipient from a pulldown menu after you type the initial characters of his/her username. I will attempt to initiate a PM to @ajaan momentarily.
I sent a PM out yesterday with no problem, the recipient's name populated as it usually does.
I just checked, and you are correct. Now you have to enter the recipients name to send a PM.
It is likely just a temporary glitch.

I'm having difficulty as well. The drop down menu never populates. When you click to message a member individually, that user is no longer auto populated into recipient field. Weird.
Hmm, the drop down menu is working fine for me. I went to your user page, clicked "Message", and typed "cameonut" into Recipients. You were the only choice. Typing just "cameo" yielded a plethora of choices.
It's back for me now. It was down for several hours. Mac OS X 10.15, safari here.

down for me at the moment and I'm trying to close a BST deal.
I am able to continue PMing in existing discussion threads but can't PM a member for the first time.

I just tried to send a PM. The person I'm trying to send it to doesn't come up in the drop down menu. Rats...I copied my message but will lose it before this is fixed I figure!
Looks like it is down for some, not others. Stinks for trying to make deals on the BST, though got one figured out with @derryb via other means
PM function is down for some, if you can't PM about a BST listing, post it on their wall and establish email communication. Remember to remove your fellow member's email from your wall to honor their privacy.

Hmmm...I usually use Microsoft Edge. Comments made me try to PM on Google Chrome. Still doesn't work.
