Probably mostly junk, but we’ll see...

Someone I work with just bought a house and found a few boxes of cards in the attic. They asked if I wanted them and I didn’t hesitate to say yes. 12 800 ct boxes full, five binders and a plastic tub.
I have started to dive in a little and it’s mostly 87-92 stuff, but it’s a weird mix. Condition is pretty bad but it will be fun to dive in and see if anything is hidden in here. Pouring me a Blanton’s and will start working my way through this.

Just going through stuff like that is enjoyment for me and if it's free, nothing to lose but a little time. Sounds like an evening well spent!
Cheers to the Blanton’s! Best bourbon on the market...when you can find it.
Good luck on the treasure hunt. Hope you find some winners.
Always fun to search through collections like that! Enjoy!

I see a signed All American. Nice cards.
Would be great if this were basketball stuff instead of baseball. Why is it always baseball from those years.
HOF SIGNED FOOTBALL RCS
So I got about a third of the way through tonight. Super random mix of cards. It would go from 1991 Topps baseball to a few 81 donruss. Then jump to 1993 ultra football and then 50 Chili Davis cards followed by about as many Charlie Hough. Got excited that it looks like at least a few packs of 2011 Topps updates were in there but nothing of interest. Lot of 1993 Topps as well including about 15 gold but no one of note. Did hit a nice stack of Jordan’s that looked decent.
I was going through and have pulled a few hundred cards aside to look at a little closer, hall of famers and such. Also need to brush up on these 90 Topps blackless because there a box of about 600 90 Topps.
Here’s a few pics of what I got so far.

Thanks. Last time I saw Blanton’s on the shelf was 2 years ago and I bought both bottles. This one I just opened was a gift. Super hard to find around here. But you’re right. It is the best.

The All-Americans were actually a mail day today. Starting a set of signed Heisman winners from the 2005 All-American set.
There is actually a good mix of cards. Mostly baseball but a good bit of football as well. There has been some basketball as well ranging from early stadium club to some mid 2000’s Topps chrome. I’ve come across some 91 score hockey and at least one pack of mls cards. There have also been some 1989 Batman cards as well as a few Pokémon which I know nothing about.
It’s been fun.

Went through a little bit more of this last night. The mix of cards gets more and more interesting. There was an 800 ct box that was filled with mostly 88 donruss and 74 Topps commons. But they were mixed up in no rhyme or reason.
Also a few interesting items in one of the binders. A Fergie Jenkins auto from a mall show, another auto I can’t identify, a ticket stub from Robin Yount’s 199th career HR from his 1989 MVP season and an Upper Deck mini poster of the 1992 Dream Team and an 8x10 signed by Enos Cabell

Maybe Robin Roberts.
That certainly is Robin Roberts.
