Forbes most valuable sports franchises

doubledragondoubledragon Posts: 23,269 ✭✭✭✭✭

Apparently it's time for Forbes annual most valuable sports franchises list. I never pay attention to this list and had no idea who was the most valuable, so this was a learning experience for me. I am surprised to see ol' Texas Jerry take the top spot, considering the Cowboys haven't won a Super Bowl since 2500 B.C. Here is the top 25 and there value. If you want to see the entire list, here is ye olde link.

I don't understand how the Cowboys are number 1 either. The last time they won a Super Bowl was in 1995. I was in middle school that year.

Another thing that is hilarious is the hype around them that expects them to be good like the Packers every year as well.

I also don't understand the "America's team" thing either. The Patriots deserve to be called that more than the Cowboys do. I hope we have a season, because I can't wait to see how they do this year. Will it be another disappointment, or will they win the Super Bowl? Can coach Jones finally lead his team back to the big game?😂😂

😂😂 I can't remember that far back. I don't understand their ranking on that list at all.

I don't necessarily agree with the list but a significant amount (if not majority) of its values is derived off the field (sponsorships, TV, radio rights, etc.). This is why big markets typically are at the top. Just something else to consider.
