did I just find a WRPM-001 what do you guys think

Here is a 1979 D dime I came across today quadruple checking my dimes. Im trying hard to learn to reference Wexlers and Vista to check for errors now. before I kinda just looked at every coin really fast for Doubled dies and skipping all the other errors.

It is not uncommon for this type mm to get filled with die chip debris. Minor error but good find anyway. The hunt continues. Peace Roy

You talking about the notch bottom left ?- It looks RPM, but I have no resource for a 1979 D RPM. It's not in the CPG.

if you are using wexler's site for this and other coins, as well as wile's site, please don't underestimate the importance of showing secondary confirmation pups. - your coin may be that rpm but i can't confirm based on the images provided.

don't miss out on his section of "other sites." - shows a lot of character when a person links to a lot of "competitor's sites." - the wealth of information between just the sites listed there is nearly imperceptible.

That mint mark anomoly is quite common on 1979-D cents and dimes, not so much on the other denominations.....unsure why that is.
But I have seen it a number of times.

Per the @LanceNewmanOCC suggestion, where you able to match you're coin against any of the pick up points listed by Wexler?

It closely resembles Wexler's but looks to have have taken a hit flattening the entire surface of the MM.

    I agree with @gonzer said

The D was hit ... so I'll stop right here.

A pic of your coin with the date would help.

It will lock down the MM location in relation to the date.

It looks like your coin could be a match.

The lower left split serif makes it possible, but the damage to the mintmark would make it undesirable for most Collectors. If you are working on a complete Roosie dime variety set, might be a keeper.

If there is still doubt, look at the position of the mintmark of OP's coin.
It is higher and tilted compared to the one pictured in Wexler.
    Not a RPM.
