These rolls have been gone through over and over against if you do trade some coins in you will get coins that have been looked at already. I have not even bothered to try to find any since they stopped shipping coins s it is just a waste of time and is damn hard work for nothing especially if you are re-rolling them to try for more.
Totally wrong. I have been getting up to 4 boxes a week of old coin rolls (not customer rolled) from my local bank since March and consistently find a W or silver quarter.

You can get them for sure but it is not worth my time and hard work to look through a $500 box of quarters to find one W quarter.

I trade only for sealed boxes. Banks are still getting new boxes, they have been limited in what they get. Once branch trades me two sealed boxes a week.
a shortage of coins are the banks least worry, many banks are in trouble for loans they have out that are not getting paid back, banks are in some serious trouble and the FDIC will not be able to save them all
I am so sorry. I was rooting for you! Thanks for taking the time to post.
I was rooting for you too! I have found only one 2019 W myself. Kinda beat up, maybe high AUC. I'm going send it in someday to get graded.
There is no advantage in having an AU W quarter graded. My advice would be to save the money or spend it on something else.
Not necessarily true. I have found W quarters in circulated coin rolls that I sent off to be graded and came back PCGS MS66.😉
The grading cost for an MS66 is more than the value, but a 66 is pretty nice.
That is true Karl but in most cases the circulated coins will not be very valuable in the future. You will not find much in these rolls you are getting now. They are not only heavy but it take many hours to go through a box and if you are going to re-wrap them it is just not worth it.
Well, I am happy to buy all the 2019-W and 2020- W quarters anyone wants to sell instead of spending them! They are worth more than face value! PM me if interested in selling any raw ungraded W quarters

Those would not be "kinda beat up". I stand by my statement.
It has minor scratches on the obverse on Washington, the reverse is MS. Would I keep it if it wasn't a W? No, I would not. I hunt for MS quarters, Washington's, State, ATB in the rolls. I am happy to find one or two MS keepers per roll. Silver or W is a bonus. Vamsarockins Salt River box would be like hitting a jackpot to me.

Are those state quarters really not worth more than face? How about the presidential dollar coins?
I actually bought a complete collection of them on ebay a year or so ago... for UNDER face value! I think the guy had about 250 or so presidential dollars he was selling, and I got it for like $225 shipped or something. Yikes! Added them to my change jar
Yep. I just bought a clad set 1965-2008 including proofs for under face.

Just got 2 more solid date boxes of Salt River. Good chance there will be no W's
I got a couple of rolls yesterday of 2020 D Samoa, no W's. They were already scuffed and scratched pretty bad during bagging and rolling. Saved and tubed 13 total in MS condition. Good luck and let us know!

Yes my boxes are sealed boxes as well.

So, why the coin shortage? What’s causing it?
Please do fill me in.

you can by them graded in MS cheaper than the cost of sending in for grading.

You can also ignore them altogether, and that's fast, easy and free 😉

My banks always did that.
Dude, that is awesome! I got another box of old coin. I haven't gotten a 2020 box at all this year. Good luck and please post your results!
