I love free silver...

I believe this medal weighs a bit over 3 ounces and is .935 fine silver. I paid about $22 for it so I figure I got about 2 ounces of silver for free.

While this medal was in slightly better shape than the pictures in the listing suggested, it is still not as nice as the other two that I have in my collection, so I figured this one was a candidate for being tossed into the treasure chest as bullion.

(Does anyone else stack odd medals and such as bullion?).

Interesting, did the seller list it as being Bronze by mistake? Guess if they did, it would have been even better if it was the gold version.

I have only Bronze Medals from that mint.

They actually did list it as silver. They pointed out that it was a bit dinged up and it had no box, so the medal collectors were scared away, and I guess it was not obvious enough as bullion to get that crowd to bid.
