Can anyone help verify what kind of ancient coin this really is and if it is genuine? It weighs 16.7 grams.
Thanks!

It is Greek, not Roman. It looks genuine but I am no expert.
Nice looking example, looks ok to me.

It's a little bit of both. Athens was under Roman control when these were issued. The motifs and language are certainly Greek.

I tend to want to see a portrait of the Roman Emperor (or other Roman personality) in order to consider the coin to be Roman. It's just my own definition. I'm sure many others will not agree with my definition and will consider control and not portraiture.
