is more expensive and is raw (at about the same grade). I'd rather have one PCGS authenticated and graded rather than risking having it returned from PCGS in a "genuine only" slab or worse, counterfeit.
I know I have been out of the market for circulated late date wheat cents for decades, but what am I missing here? I would not have spent $5 on that 1957. please enlighten me.

Okay, on a bit of a serious note. It is my birth year and I'm putting together a circulated year set. My (more reasonable) offer was accepted by the seller so I'm in for about half what it would have been to send the coin myself with a batch of others.
Why the 1960-D is being offered at such a ridiculous asking price is beyond me. Sort of added a bit of spice to this thread though.
Shoot... if it makes you happy, and your happy to add it to your collection there is only one thing I'll tell you......... CONGRATS ON THE NEW PICK UP!!!!!

This 1960-D (in the same grade) is outside of my budget:

HAPPY COLLECTING
Pat. Hi.
Is it very hard to locate an honest wear VF or F of a 1957-D Cent? I must confess, I never looked.
Wondercoin
Not difficult whatsoever.
Good to hear from you Mitch!
