Is this a coin or trinket?

This thin copper coin has a hole in it, it's about 15mm, .5g and some of the design didn't fit on both sides. Any help to figure out what this is will be appreciated, thanks.

Imitation Ottoman jewellery piece. Very loosely imitating Algerian silver coins of the mid-1800s. The "Arabic" is so badly garbled, no-one could read it.

Waste no more time arguing what a good man should be. Be one.
    Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius, "Meditations"

Apparently I have been awarded one DPOTD. B)
