J.M. TAYLOR on 1853 arrows Quarter
Counterstamped on the obverse:
J.M. TAYLOR
BROKER
BROOKLYN. L. I.

Listed in Brunk as #39470 (Rulau #2010)
J.M. Taylor was a broker from New York who stamped advertising on coins. He also had an office in NYC....$90

(This piece came from Steve Tannenbaum (Feb, 2000) who died in 2011 at the hands of a rampaging killer whose violent spree spanned nearly 28 hours and two boroughs in NY. After stabbing several people in a crowded subway, the madman then drove to the home of his former girlfriend, killing her and stabbing her mother. He then jumped into his car, smashing into another vehicle. He stabbed that driver in the chest. He then sped off, hitting and killing pedestrian Stephen Tanenbaum.)

Arm & Hammer on 1859-S Half Dollar
The counterstamp appears to be from a prepared punch. It is deeply impressed, and the design is similar to the design on the reverse of the 1892 Nashville Central Union 2nd Labor Day Celebration so-called dollar (coinappraiser.com/coins/nashville-central-union-2nd-labor-day-celebration/). I have no other info on this piece.....$SOLD

Union Now and Forever on 1862 Half Dollar
Interesting "patriotic" stampings on this piece. Whoever created this piece was apparently lacking the 'B' and 'V' punches.
The obverse reads:
UNION NOW AND FOREYER (Forever).
LIDERTY (Liberty)
LOYE (Love) with 2 stars nearby

reverse reads:
JOHN NORRIS.
JUNE 22
1890
NEW PARIS.

A neat piece for someone to research.....$160
