Best "Short sell" decision

Since there is a thread about our regrets in selling or buying; what are some of the best decisions to sell or buy. Back in 1992ish I traded an entire binder full of 1990- 1991 football rookies (no Emmitt Smiths) for a Jerry Rice rookie which I still own. I think now the empty binder is worth more than those cards. For purchases I got lucky to buy my 3 PSA 2 graded 1933 Goudey Babe Ruth's for about $1,200 a piece. I am still missing the third (yellow) Goudey Ruth and it looks like now it is out of my price range. I also bought a PSA 3.5 1951 Bowman Mantle for $2,200 years ago and bought a raw 1986 Michael Jordan for $200. After looking at it at my local card shop for a few weeks and doing my research I had no doubt that it was real. It graded a few years ago at a Becket 8.

Shortly after the 98 Baseball season I sold all my Sammy Sosa rookies for a truckload of money. Still feel good about that one

As far as purchases go, I have been on an absolute roll the last two months. I finally have two of the most elusive and rare Joe Louis cards in existence, the 1937 Globo Chewing Gum Joe Louis card and the 1961 Clevedon Confectionery Joe Louis card. Yes sir, the Joe Louis card life is good! Now, if I can just find the mute button to turn off my wife's griping about my purchases.

One of my first sales on eBay was a nm-mt raw 1994-95 Score Select Brian Boucher rookie for $20. I don't know why, but that one is my all-time favorite sells.

Still doesn't make up for all the bad decisions I made, but certainly helps.

In 1985 I bought a lot of 25 McGwire rookies at .25 each. Sold them in the Sosa / McGwire Home Run Derby year from $75.00 for the o/c or dinged corner cards to $150.00 for the graded PSA 8's or 9's.

1997 Bowman Chrome Roy Halladay. I paid probably $15 on eBay somewhere around 2015 or 2016, sent it to PSA in late 2018, came back a 10 and sold for $375.
