1984 Topps: Is this card dead centered?

This card issue is not symmetrical, so determining centering can be a bit of an optical difficulty.

For that issue, that centering looks about as good as it gets in my opinion.
yep

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
Just about perfect.
SteveGarveyFan,
So if this was a Steve Garvey card, you would be happy to purchase it with this centering knowing only perfect cards belong in your personal collection?

I measure it 48/52 TB and 50/50 LR. Pretty darn close.
Yes. This looks just about perfect to me. What am I missing?
Hello nam812,
Great to see you! Did you actually try to measure it, or just eyeballing it? The top to bottom is tricky to measure because of the blurriness. I think by looking at it at different times on multiple days will ensure if this has the dead centered eye appeal I am looking for. What better grade is there than a GEM MINT 10 that is centered, right? This is not an investment card for me, but something I just want to have in my personal collection.
SteveGarveyFan,
You may not be missing anything. It's just that I have bought cards that looked dead centered before on screen and when I get them in hand, I can clearly see the slightest off centering. It may not be a big deal in the grand scheme of things as it would probably sell for the same amount (or close to it) when putting it up for sale again. I just wanted to make sure this is a keeper. So far, I got two of his Donruss rookie cards in PSA 10 well before the surge in current 80s baseball card prices. My thinking was that I had more time to get his Topps rookie card since it's not a card to jump anytime soon and would just have modest climbs over the years, if that. How wrong I was...SMH.

T/B just the slightest difference. The thing about cards or for that matter anything, is if you look at them long enough you will find something wrong with it. If in doubt, back out.
Perfect
Thank you all for the feedback. I have the card in my cross hairs. I will wait for one of those ebay bucks deals before making a strike. For that year and brand of card, I am most interested in the van Slyke, obviously, but also the Mattingly, Strawberry, and Gooden cards too.
