I nearly pulled the trigger on several boxes of the first series, but then realized there were going to be 6 series of these. I have decided to purchase a few boxes if they include Mattingly in a future series, but so far they haven't.

I liked the 205 and 206 mini inserts from the early 2000’s, but I didn’t know Topps still produced them. Are these inserted into 2020 topps packs?

No, this is its own set. First time ever being an all mini set, and staying true to the ones from over 100 years ago.

As far as I know they made a similar set in 2002 and 2009. I also think another year, but can’t remember which. But to me, those were true “T206” worthy cards. They were regular sized cards to begin with, with inserted minis. So they don’t compare at all. Even the look was off on those. So to me, this is the first time they ever made a true T206 set.

Five series in all when it’s all said and done. Currently the clock on the Topps website is on for series 4. Series three have not been produced and shipped yet. They determine print run for each series based off of actual orders placed. I will provide a link below to print runs and odds...
