Thoughts on this BGS 10 grade for centering?

How does this happen? We don't even need an instrument to determine this oversight... 9.5 ? No, problem..... a 10?? problem.

What are you thinking...top to bottom about 55/45?

I'm thinking side to side....pristine 10 centering is 50-50 dead on centered....

Thanks for sharing. I am disappointed. This should have never gotten a 10 for centering. Maybe it was grader fatigue that caused this one to slip by.
I saw right away this was off center, but if I was looking at cards for 8 hours, I can understand overlooking a few slightly off centered cards.

It's a tad off right to left. Nearly every 10 that gets posted on this site has something wrong with it.

I am just amazed that something that was produced all the way back as far as 2013 can be so well preserved.

When I hunt for PSA 10 or BGS 9.5, I try to only pick ones with perfect centering as one cannot really be certain of the surface or have perfect view of the edges and corners. Centering is about that initial eye appeal. I pass up many GEM MINT cards if their centering is off and sometimes, what looks perfect on a scan/photo will not be in hand due the angle the slab was photographed or the edge was too close to the card bumper of the holder causing a bit of an optical problem when trying to determine centering.

Man, I am getting right around 51-49 left to right. Basically dead on.

Looks like a very slight tilt to me. bottom looks dead on but the top seem slightly wider on the right. Hardly noticeable . Nice card.

I'm getting 48.37-51.63 L/R near the top, no idea what the tolerance is supposed to be for 9.5 vs 10 centering subgrade. I keep coming back to this one and there's some sort of optical illusion going on, sometimes it looks fine to my eye and others it looks further off.

My eye sees side to side centering better than top-bottom..... In fact, when I err on a grade its almost always top to bottom centering that gets me... this card to me hugs the left side closer than the right.... at least 52-48 .. oh well. I cant pay any premium for a BGS PRISTINE card like this with this centering ....
