Are NFL running backs under valued?

I was reading an interview online that running back Adrian Peterson did with TMZ, and he said that it's disrespectful how NFL teams undervalue running backs.

Tennessee ran that horse (Henry) almost to the SB. Their QB did absolutely nothing in those winning playoff games. Yes, I believe that RBs are absolutely getting the shaft. The middle tier QBs make way too much money...It is out of hand.

You know, I just have to say, my wife watches TMZ religiously. She is obsessed with that garbage. She just has to know who Angelina Jolie is dating, and stuff like that. She buys those celebrity gossip magazInes in the grocery store checkout lanes. Pure trash in my view.

Running backs take a lot of brutal punishment, I'll tell you that.

Compared to QBs, yes, compared to linemen, no.

A good offensive line is definately priceless. They're down there in the trenches, doing the filthy work.

Give me a few great OL and an “OK” RB over a stud RB and an “OK” line.

Loved Peterson when he was here in Minnesota. Always gave 100% effort.

The guy is however no rocket surgeon.

It's a passing league now running backs are no longer the focus of the offense.

And Adrian Peterson would hit you also! I loved watching him run through defenders.

No , anytime you need a RB just hire one from your local KFC staff.

Pro tip any time you see the word "disrespectful" you can ignore anything that comes after it

I assume he is being interviewed because he smacked a kid about again?

I think the O-line is more undervalued. Offenses need to have a balanced attack. Lots of RB’s can be picked up in the late rounds or undrafted. Look at Laveon Bell’s in Pittsburgh verses New York.

The guy that got the boot for beating the crap out of his kid is being "disrespected" what has this world come to? :'(

Talk about disrespect.....talk to a good offensive lineman. Without a line you have no running or passing game.
