How do you feel about the subject of athletes and media obligations? Does it anger you when you see athletes being nasty to the media, or could you care less?
WARNING: Yes, I know this thread will probably fail miserably, but what the heck, I'm bored.

You guys have to watch this. It is the interview that Jim Rome did with Rams player Jim Everett.
Jim Rome used to call Jim Everett "Chris Everett" poking fun at him. It's a reference to tennis player Chris Evert, and Jim Everett didn't like being called that. In the interview, Jim Rome takes it too far.

NICE!
I would usually say you should never put your hands on someone for what they say, but this is an exception.
Way to go JIM Everett!!!!!
I’m all for the mix of the media and sports as long as it’s live interviews. I cannot stand it when a reporter headlines something that he or she partially quoted from the interview.
Classic, I remember that well and Rome got what he deserved.
i dream of Tony Romo and Dimeman having a moment like this
you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet
we need a full team of media drones discussing Pablo's current fatness
I was disappointed with the Jim Rome vs Jim Everett fight. I was hoping to see a low blow issued to Jim Rome.
The smarter athletes understand that the media with the free advertising about their sport, helps the athletes to earn the exorbitant salaries that they make.
If any media ever came around to report on my company with free advertising, we'd probably have a lobster dinner waiting for them. LOL
Yeah, except that Everett was told beforehand that he'd be called Chris in that interview and said he was fine with it.
I still remember this one, when Terrell Owens starts crying. It's the famous "That's my quarterback" interview where Terrell Owens is defending Tony Romo. The media suggests that the Cowboys lost because Tony Romo had gone on a vacation with Jessica Simpson.
Terrell Owens takes offense to that suggestion and defends Tony Romo and sheds a few tears.

Such a clown 😂
Are you serious? I never heard that
This is a classic, the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals Dennis Green, was upset after his team lost to the Chicago Bears.

Dead serious. Can't find a reference for it now as it's been years.
Playoffs? An all time classic!

One of the best!
Tabe,
I also remember that Everett was briefed before the interview that he would be called Chris. Jim Rome likes to get under people's skin, but Everett could have countered that in a more classy way or walked off the interview altogether.

A good one with Mike Tyson.

The quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals, Derek Anderson, is asked by a reporter why he was laughing on the sidelines during a MNF game when his team was down 18 points.

Allen Iverson "We talkin' 'bout PRACTICE!"

😂😂 A classic!
This one is famous in KC. I remember at the time it happened, it was in the news that the reporter with the cut cheek was hit in the face with an ashtray, hence the dazed look. The phone twirl is epic! At the end, he comes back out in the hallway holding a jug of vodka. Put that in your pipe and smoke it! Haha! All-time meltdown!

😂😂😂😂That is one of the greatest meltdowns I've ever seen! That was fun to watch!
Michigan Wolverines women's basketball coach Kevin Borseth has a classic meltdown after a loss.
