Shipping/courier risks and stresses

I don’t want to hijack another thread relating to a stolen card from a courier during transport, but that situation amplified to me the significant stress caused by putting high-dollar and treasured collectibles in the mail or a courier system. It’s always a matter that I think about when finalizing private deals and I always am nervous while items are in transport, both sending and receiving.

CU members are commenting on that other thread that the interest in it (number of views) has already reached all-time high levels and I think that’s because we can all try to sympathize with the OP or try to put ourselves in the OP’s shoes.
