Topps series II

Greetings,
I have the opportunity to pre order Topps series II. My question is;

The way the " season " is playing out, is there a real need for me to spend
my funds on Series II ? I can't see them adding much that's not present in
Series I. Any thoughts??

I also collect pre civil war American glass, so I've been away from
this hobby for about 10 years. The landscape has certainly changed. I started
collecting glass in the mid 70's and sports cards and memorabilia in the mid 80's.

    Series 2 is scheduled to release for hobby on June 26. A little late for pre-orders, unless you are ordering hanger boxes from walmart.com. They are now showing shipping on July 27.

    I say buy and enjoy, but don't expect much if you are trying to find a big "hit".

    Not the greatest checklist in terms of RC's.

    That has been the case for most years other than 2019.

    Hopefully, hobby box pricing will come back to a reasonable level soon. One major online seller is at $139 a box.

    Just bought my Cardinals team set along with SP's and SSP's. Fortunately there are no SSSP's. I didn't even know there was such a thing. Must be new this year.

    You are correct. The only one I have seen so far is this Mookie Betts although I am sure we will see others.

    Love this Babe Ruth. Wish I had a few of those autographed baseballs:
