Nice 1929 $20 Round Hill Virginia note in Alex Cooper June 25 auction

https://bid.alexcooper.com/lots/view/1-31XAKJ/1929-20-ty-1-ch-11569-round-hill-va-vf35

There aren't too many Round Hill notes of any kind out there. Track and Price has 5-$20 Ty 1's before this one is added. The listed 40 at $1440 from Lyn Knight was a database mistake as this was a Fine-12 not a 40 so the current note could be one of the finest known

Is there pencil writing in the left lower border?

I believe so...but that lower border/margin has bigger problems than the pencil marks.

I agree that there are margin issues and with the way the note was cut. So the real question for those willing to tackle it... Would a note such as this get a straight grade if submitted? Or would it get a net grade that contemplates the issues? I suspect that the margins would be noted on the holder.

I suppose it begs the question if there are margin issues with the other notes that survived...
