1986 Fleer basketball horizontal lines

Hello, I don't post much, so first off nice to meet you all, and hope this isn't the hundredth time this has been asked. While researching '86 Fleer Jordans, curious about the horizontal black line between the top red and blue that appears to be on most but not all of cards I've seen.

Are there variations, or is a missing line a sure sign of being fake? Below are Jordans in PSA, BGS and SGC slabs and a few players, some less likely to be counterfeited that others, without the line. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

The line is not a determinant of authenticity of this card. It may suffer from print fading, but I believe the cause is that this card is regularly shifted up or down in alignment of color layers and it might make some borders appeared shaded or hiding the black line.
