I noticed my last order was shipped via UPS. In the past it has always been USPS.

Ugh. My UPS guy is horrible.

UPS is cheaper on heavier packages. Thet may also ship UPS surepost where they deliver to the destination city and the post office delivers to your house.
my last two orders were also UPS. im wondering if its because USPS has been extremely slow at getting some packages to meet their arrival deadline. I myself have had packages go off the grid for weeks before finally scanning again. my last UPS return package from PSA came 3 day air saver and arrived a day early.

Is the UPS service they are using still signature required?
They shipped my case of cs1s via fedex. It certainly wasn't cheap postage wise.
It’s suppose to be. My last order was put in my mailbox though. Never signed for it or anything. Not to happy about that.

Ugh. I much prefer USPS or Fed Ex over UPS. Of all 3 carriers, right now UPS seems to have the most issues with delivery.
My last few pack submissions were shipped via Fed Ex. Anyone know how to ensure Fed Ex over UPS for return shipping?

Unless you provide PSA with a FedEx account number - no.
I asked formally via email. Response came this am after my latest sub arrived.
"I inquired further and I’m sorry but we cannot take special requests for shipping couriers. If you have a FedEx account or USPS Express mail account you can use either to ensure your orders ship through a preferred courier. "

Got my card I just subbed back today UPS no issues.
They are not requiring signature.
Thanks, Jeff. I'm hoping the heavier packages like pack subs would go Fed Ex over UPS anyway.

yes. but both USPS and UPS offer electronic pre-signatures for when you aren't available.
USPS allows you to sign up for informed delivery and store your electronic pre-signed digital signature on their website. it will store it for up to one year. once you have an inbound package requiring a signature confirmation and agree to the terms, you can tag the inbound package as pre-signed and the mailman should leave it without requiring you to do so in person.
UPS also allows this, I think its a pre-authorization or release. when tracking the package via the UPS app and with a UPS account, you can notate on the package tracking you are waiving the signature confirmation and authorize UPS to be indemnified of loss, and they will leave it without requiring signature.

I wouldn't trust FedEx or UPS with my pet rock let alone valuable Baseball cards! When stuff " falls off the truck" you have no recourse! I worked at DHL and stuff fell off the truck all the time and nobody gives 2 cents about your stuff!

Many, many years ago I worked the freight flight line. Was helping out a sub-contracting friend of mine through the winter holiday season. Was for one of the air freight haulers. Scanned, tossed packages into the bins which were they wheeled onto a truck. On to the flight line the loaded bins were conveyor belted into the gutted converted passenger jet. Here is where your package could run into problems. Any late arriving, loose, stray packages that did not make the secure bin loading step were simply tossed through/into the rear belly door into the bottom of the plane. One had to hope the un loaders at the other receiving end thought to look in there, and the package did not get hung up on the inner frame of the plane. May be different today, but in this instance you can see how a package could wander off. But the majority do make it to their destination. Only an issue when it happens to you.
