    I think you can hit the "leave conversation" button to delete it on your end.

    this. but, it deletes the entire PM conversation with that member. Do not confuse a PM with "wall" activity where your message is public on the other party's end. This happens when someone, after clicking on the member, types into the "activity" box when they should have clicked on the member AND THEN clicked on the "message" button. Posts to a members "activity" wall can be removed but only by that member. If you accidentally send it to their wall and you do not want it public then send them a message asking them to remove it from their "activity."
