Fine Tuned New Registry Rules

I see an updated set of rules was just posted. Still quite lengthy (which is fine). I did notice that where the seller was not courteous enough to remove a sold coin from his/her inventory, there are tougher clarifications on the buyer in this unfortunate situation. It is clarified that the uploaded photos now have to have a photo in the background of a current newspaper (like a ransom photo, lol), or your Registry screen shot in the photo.

The good news is it appeared they reinstated the punishment for those members without the courtesy to remove sold coin Certs. I believe in the most recent prior version, the punishment promulgated a few versions ago was removed. In this new, current version, if a coin is sold from a registered set that is at least 90% complete, and not removed by the prior owner by end of the three day notice, that set (and hopefully ALL sets 90% complete containing that coin) will have those sets retired. This is an improvement, although in my opinion, ALL registered coins by the person with no courtesy towards others should be removed. I believe that once that happens to a person, they’ll become courteous like the vast majority of us, and remove sold coins on their own from their Registry. Better yet, they should be required to re-enter each of their “retired” coins manually.

Did anyone notice any other changes of interest?

A day without fine wine and working on your coin collection is like a day without sunshine!!!

My collecting “Pride & Joy” is my PCGS Registry Dansco 7070 Set:

Looks mostly the same otherwise, to me.

It's a good first step, also the new ID chips.

Now, how many are just labels from crackouts?

Thanks Steven, as an active buyer right now, I am constantly sending out removal requests to previous owners....Most of those are ignored....So your write-up was appreciated.

I wish when they updated they could highlight the updated part so I dont have to read the whole thing and try to figure it out.
