Asking $25 + $4 shipping to US addresses. SOLD

This item is from the estate of Nancy S. Don't be sad - Nancy isn't dead - but she left her house and most of her worldly goods here in Georgia and moved back home to Canada all of a sudden. (I had no idea she was Canadian, though the lack of a Georgia twang in her voice should've been a clue.) It seems my folks were assigned as "executors" of Nancy's "estate", and I ended up with some coins and stuff. This being part of that stuff.

But I digress. Anyway, here is what this lot contains:

Apparently Nancy or someone in her family spent some time in Jamaica, as you will see from the purse contents...

(1) VINTAGE COIN PURSE - green faux-alligator style, nice condition, working clasp

1 DOZEN OLD JAMAICA PREDECIMAL LARGE PENNIES:

--- (2) 1937, George VI, KM# 29 - one-year type

--- (3) 1942, George VI, KM# 32

--- (3) 1945, George VI, KM# 32

--- (1) 1947, George VI, KM#32 - key date; 480,000 minted

--- (1) 1953, Elizabeth II, KM# 57

--- (1) 1959, Elizabeth II, KM# 57

--- (1) 1960, Elizabeth II, KM# 57 - Brilliant UNC or nearly so

The Jamaican pennies are all average circulated except the 1960, which is Mint State or close to it. The key date 1947 coin looks to be around XF, meaning it catalogs for $10.00 by itself. It has a little circulation grime on it which I did not clean off, but it appears to me as though that would come off OK with a rub in petroleum jelly (Vaseline) or mineral oil. These coins were struck in nickel-brass and have a pleasant golden-brown color, or a more shiny gold color when in higher grade like the 1960 example. I have always liked these, for some reason.

2 ADDITIONAL STRAY COINS:

--- (1) Cyprus 3 mils, Elizabeth II first portrait, KM#33, bronze, appears to be Brown Uncirculated. A one-year type. The NGC/Numismaster page lists it at $3.00 in MS60 and $35.00 in MS63. That's quite a jump. I must say that this coin looks MS63 BN to me, though I only had it under a cheap magnifying glass.

--- (1) France 50 francs, 1951, KM918.1, aluminum-bronze, 27 mm. Dark toning, particularly on the obverse. I kind of like how it looks, but probably not everyone else will.

TOTAL = 1 PURSE, 14 COINS.

For some reason it isn't letting me edit the OP or title. Grrr.

    This lot has SOLD.

Edit: OK, there, I can edit again- on my laptop. Wasn't working for me on mobile. Weird.
