1952 Topps Canadian Grays vs Creams.

Hello everyone. I have been in the hobby for 20 years, but every day I am learning new stuff. Does anyone here have any experience with 1952 Topps Canadian Gray cards?? I recently found what I believe to be some amongst my stash at home.

    I believe that series was issued as white backs in the US and gray backs in Canada. Not sure why. All of the cards from that series in my set (so far) are white backs.

    Collector of 1976 Topps baseball for some stupid reason.
    Collector of Pittsburgh Pirates cards for a slightly less stupid reason.

    What is odd though is that all the cards say "PRINTED IN THE USA". You would think if they were printed in Canada that they would say such.
