OT: eBay just buyer backed out. Do I get fees back?

Long story short I just had a buyer wanting to back out of a deal that he just put a best offer on last night. Over $1000 item. I would like to know if I get the fees back and how do I go about doing it. Sorry for the off topic post. It just happened and I’m furious. Figured this was the quickest way to get the answer. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Aaron

You should be able to get your fees back.

Ebay is becoming more and more against the sellers every day!

Thanks for the reply. Do you know is it as simple as canceling the sale or do I need to do anything special to get the fees back? Thanks.

I sold a card last Friday night that the buyer asked me to cancel overnight. I checked the Paypal credit, canceled the sale in eBay, then checked the Paypal charge after and the exact amount was withdrawn so I think your fees are covered automatically.

Pretty sure it's a simple as cancelling. I had one not too long ago, let me check my statements.

    ETA: Confirmed.

I had to cancel a $600+ sale recently as well and ebay did credit the fees within 24 hours so you should be ok.

I think if you cancel the sale within a certain time frame and they didn't pay, you get the FVF refunded.
