I'll be interested to see how Carson and Steve's Eaglets do next season.
I didn't realize soccer players made so much money.
I guess when all is said and done, Dak Prescott will be on top of that list.
Pretty impressive for Federer to be #1, considering he hasn't won a Grand Slam tourney in 3 years.
Terry Bradshaw was AMAZING!!

Cousins and Wentz just seems wrong
Cousins is a good QB who had the "perfect storm" happen to him. Vikings have an owner who isn't afraid to spend the money and was tired of the revolving door at the position for several years, while having a great defense.
If the Vikings could get some good pass blockers, Cousins will look great.
Wentz had a different, but similar "storm" looked FANTASTIC. All the tools you could ask for. Now injuries have changed all that. He's still young enough that he could have a great career if he can stay on the field.
The two QB's will most likely be surpassed by the next two young QB's to sign extensions; that seems to be the way it works with that position. I realized soccer's appeal was worldwide, but had no idea they made that kind of money.
Top paid guys are usually fairly quickly surpassed.
Could NOT care less about soccer.
neither do I but there must be a lot of people out there that do!!!
A few years ago the U.S. had a good team and I REALLY TRIED to get into soccer. Watched parts of several games/matches and would rather dunk my head into a vat of molten asphalt than watch soccer ever again.
How, how HOW can this be preferable to any sport is beyond me!
totally agree. I think I'd rather watch paint dry!!!
I can only watch soccer if I'm drunk.
not even then!!!
Love playing soccer and Hockey. Cant watch on tv.
Terry Bradshaw was AMAZING!!

How is Mike Trout not on this list?
It's not about the salary, it's the sponsorships and endorsements. The first 8 make sense for worldwide appeal, no idea how Cousins and Wentz are up there.
Also, this assessment was factoring in pay cuts for MLB for the delay of the 2020 season and not for NFL since their season starts later, so it's skewed this year to favor NFL over MLB for primarily domestic sports. Kershaw was the top MLB player at #57, and only one to crack the top 100.
$100 million of his $106.3 total is from endorsements.
I haven't looked into their contract details, but based on the amounts reported for salary would guess that both got large signing bonuses in addition to salary for this year?
