Ebay Question: Searching Completed Auctions

Can a buyer or seller prevent a completed auction from appearing in a search?

And if not, why would an auction that ended last night not be in a search today?

Not that I'm aware. I've been seeing search results not yield all the listings they should (i.e. my listings), so there might be something wrong with eBay's search algorithm.

Could they have ended the auction early perhaps? I've had that happen to me a couple of times on items I was trying to snipe. Just not sure if in that case it would show up or not in completed auctions.

Nope......I watched it end last night.
