EBay bucks broken?

AzurescensAzurescens Posts: 2,909 ✭✭✭✭✭

This past 36h, eBay hasn't been reflecting the 5% rewards. It's been saying 1%. Happened out of nowhere after having worked so well now. Is anyone else experiencing difficulties?

No, its working fine on my end. However, the 5% may not apply to all items. Try different items and see if the 5% appears. Typically, gold and silver will not get the discount, but toys, flashlights, luggage, etc. will get it.

Coins are generally covered in 5-10% promotions, bullion isn't, and I just bought a ton of stuff for the house and business that wasn't eligible. Bought two coins that were.

Some coin displays were toggling on/off between the 1 and 5%.

If auctions end after the promotion does, it won't display the eBay bucks promotion anymore.

Was not working for me today either. Hopefully it may show up corrected.

    Many happy BST transactions

It worked for me on a recent purchase, but I forgot to go through MrRebates first. Always open up MrRebates, then go to eBay from that website to get even more ebay bucks and rewards.

    Edited for grammar

I'll have to check that one out.

Ebates/rakuten does not have any cash back for ebay right now.

Gold and silver are covered as long as they are not listed in the BULLION category. Category alone determines eligibility. There are a couple of other not coin categories that are also excluded.
    1. Make sure you are eligible
    2. Be sure to click on the "activate" button/link
    3. confirm you are actually getting the bonus bucks before committing to buy an item.
    4. confirm after the purchase that you earned the bonus bucks

I have not seen a general 5% offer now. There is a very limited home and garden 5% that only applies to specific items

I thought that at 1st until I read the terms. It's a typical ebay bucks offer with only bullion excluded from the coin category.

I used the 5% home and garden eBay bucks to buy a $10 gold eagle.

    Slider23,

That gold eagle was not put under the bullion category or else the 5% would not work. Sometimes you will find bullion misplaced under a different category and can benefit from the discount. It really suppose to go under bullion, but there are good arguments against this too. In any case, you do not have to answer, but I was curious as to why buy an eagle at these high prices?

If anyone wants to join MrRebates, there are members on here that have it. If you use any one of them as the individual that referred you, they do get a kickback, but you also get $5.00 in credit (at least this was the case some years ago). Here is the website for the most up to date information: https://www.mrrebates.com/support/faqs.asp
