I heard ESPN is releasing a 30 for 30 documentary in June about the 1998 home run race.

Probably not a chance. Just another stampede to get in before it hits $1000

    Up from $32 in March.

I don't pretend to know what the right price is for any card but when I see a Mike Trout at $420,000 I don't really think a Sosa at $250 is that crazy.

I have dropped $250 so many times on a sushi dinner I can't count and at least you have a card and not an upset stomach the next morning or worse later that night.

That Trout is over 500k now. I have no skin in the game but love to see it.

Sosa has ZERO chance of getting into the HOF. But everybody remembers & enjoyed the HR race with Mac that summer.

Not everyone cares about the HOF. Not everyone cares about PEDs.

I'm certainly going to watch it. The 1998 season was so exciting, and I still can't believe that two players broke Maris's record in the same exact season. I watched an interview with big mac a few years ago, and he said that after he broke Maris's record, he had to make sure Sosa didn't end up hitting more total HR's for that season or else he would have felt like he didn't accomplish anything, so he had to focus even harder to out-homer Sosa. It was one heck of a slugfest!

That race is what motivated Barry to break McGwires.

The announcement of the documentary spurred Sosa and McGwire sales over the past few weeks. I think we were talking about it somewhere. I specifically remember mentioning that Sosa has two of the toughest rookie PSA 10 strike rates of the 1980s decade and someone saying "that's because no one submits those cards" when they had total submissions of 3,500 and 5,000.

You think Sosa cards will go up, because Sosa said so ????

    (Name the movie).

I just can't believe what has happened to Sosa's skin. He looks like Michael Jackson. Just look at the comparison from 1998 to now.
