Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
I don't go out of my way to acquire O-Pee-Chee cards, but do have a few random ones in my collection. This was a "throw-in" (I guess) from an unrelated eBay purchase. It was included in the box with the correct items, and concerned that it had been shipped by mistake, I messaged the seller, but got no response. It's a pretty nice card, save for a bit of PD on Ryan's undershirt and cap. That's my shadow on the back near RYAN, not a stain. I have a fairly nice 1970 O-Pee-Chee Brooks Robinson that was acquired under similar circumstances that I'll post if I can locate it.
l finally got a Gretzky with a great rough cut - not a lot out of them out there in any year - real nice card overall also. Not sure if it might be too wide for a PSA holder LOL .

I have noticed that PSA does not appreciate the rough cut and considers it a flaw. In my opinion, the rough cut is the beauty of these cards. I don't want my OPC cards to look like Topps. Graders just don't understand.
Looking for high grade rookie cards and unopened boxes/cases

They did understand until recently. Now the average Joe can expect to be financially brutalized !

Why did OPC do this? They couldn't afford proper cutting equipment? And what did kids/collectors think of this at the time?
It was dull blades and probably Union involvement that permitted certain people to work and or change blades? I know a few strikes over the years affected the production specifically 1980 Baseball..
Were the OPC cards not cut with a wire?
The 1966 Batman card is from the United Kingdon and not Canada.
However, there are OPC/Canada versions of 1966 Batman.
Personally, I love those rough cuts.

They said the ladies who were doing the cutting were getting paid by the amount of cards produced so they would lay 3 sheets down at one time. Not sure if that alone would do it or if dull blades contributed as well.

I don't like the rough cut but I understand many like it and that's fine. To me it looks like shoddy workmanship.
If PSA was fine with OPC having rough cuts then why is it not fine if it happens with Topps and other brands. That is what I can not understand.

oh people will pay for that OPC rough cut ! This is at $9 grand at Heritage .Pop 3
If you can only know that they will not lower your grade because of the rough cut. Great Card.
Based on recent developments that 10 for most might be a 5 today...
