Do you have stuff in your collection that you have no idea how you got?

I have had this random 1 X 2 inch autograph of Jim Palmer for a long time - probably a few decades. No idea how I got it! I'm not sure if the auto is real (the "Palmer" doesn't quite match eBay samples). It seems to be an autograph ticket that you might get at a show but who would buy an autograph ticket without having something to get signed?

I have all kinds of stuff that I will find while going through storage boxes in my collection, and wonder, "Where the heck did that come from?"

Because of the different sized holder compared to my toploaders, my eyes are constantly drawn to this card whenever I open the 2 row shoebox that it is in, and therefore, constantly reminded of the mystery.

I have no idea where I would have gotten an uncirculated 2007 Topps Chrome #079/139 football card of Julius Peppers. I stopped collecting from roughly 1995 to 2012, and have pursued almost exclusively baseball upon my return.

I have boxes and boxes of cards. A lot of them surprises. One box 7 kevin durant rookie next a BGS 9.5 James rookie.
Haven't a clue when i got them. Nice surprises.

Oh, I've bought a ton of stuff on those Saturday night drunken Ebay binges. I've got Panini Russian weightlifting stickers, modern basketball, I've even got a card featuring Stonehenge on it. I had forgotten all about it until this thread. Oh, the money wasted on those weekend drunken Ebay binges. Great memories!

From time to time when I go unpacking I can usually jog my memory on where I obtained most of my cards. Is like a trip down memory lane for me.

Come on now,you weren't that drunk if you can remember those times. :) Like it's said about the 60's,if you can remember them you weren't there.

Last week I went through a cabinet I thought was organized, but found an unopened 83 Donruss wax box I definitely didn’t recall since I dont really collect unopened. Spent a good part of this week thinking about weather to wrap it, sell it, rip it or leave it. Usually in these situations I’m the first one yelling rip it.
