The 1892, being the first year of issue for Barber's, had the highest proof mintage of a whopping 1245! Not exactly huge. And yet, in Proof 65 and above, there may be only 65 coins left. Most having been scrubbed, and mishandled through the years.
I have a few. Once is a Grant w/star that I posted recently, mintage 4,256
The 1794 Half dime is a cool coin with a mintage of 7,756. Maybe 550 survive in all grades. This example isn't perfect, but imagine where it has been.
The 1797 Small Eagle dollar was made to the tune of 7,776 examples. This is the 9x7 star, large letters variety:
One final coin is the 1928 Hawaiian commemorative. Total mintage is 9,958. Many were saved, but most aren't all that attractive. It's fun to find an exception:
The 1796 and 1797 draped bust small eagle half dollars had three US Mint deliveries totaling 3918 coins, all in 1797. Any mintage figures for each dated year are just estimates, although survivors are split 50/50 each year per Amato's census book. Bowers calls this rarity the "Holy Grail" of US silver type. Here is a VLDS 1797 T-1 with a shattered reverse die:
Robert Scot: Engraving Liberty - biography of US Mint's first chief engraver
The 1861-S Paquet Reverse had 19,250 struck although per Jeff Garrett and Ron Guth only 200-300 are known to be existent. Jeff Garrett and Ron Guth include it as one of the 100 Greatest U.S. Coins in their book of same name. Interestingly not a single mint state example is known to exist.
Here is mine:
This from a "Coin World" reporting:
"The Paquet Reverse double eagle is so-named as the work of U.S. Mint Assistant Engraver Anthony Paquet.
In his work, Paquet was known to have a penchant for a particular font style. The style was characterized by tall, thick verticals and diagonals on the letters, with thin horizontals and serifs.
Paquet adopted this font for use on his 1860 patterns. The font style was subsequently approved in late 1860 for use on the regular issue Coronet double eagles.
After the Philadelphia Mint produced examples, U.S. Mint Director James Ross Snowden quickly determined the Paquet Reverse unsuitable for high-speed production and ordered the entire Philadelphia Mint emission melted.
Only two examples from the Philadelphia Mint are known to remain, although a third is rumored to exist.
Dies with the Paquet design were delivered to the Branch Mints in New Orleans and San Francisco before the decision to stop production was made.
The New Orleans Mint did not strike any 1861-O Coronet, Paquet double eagles, having received a telegraph message to halt production before it began.
Because no transcontinental telegraph wires extended to San Francisco from the East, by the time Snowden’s edict reached the West Coast facility, it had already struck 19,250 of the coins, all of which are reported to have entered circulation. Today, approximately 100 examples of the 1861-S Coronet, Paquet Reverse double eagle are extant, with no examples certified in Mint State. "
I don't have any idea of what the mintage is for the token (I am certain that it is far less than 10K)....but I can just about guarantee that the die population is no more than one or two.
Here, I got one actually at 100 Mintage! Sure, it's not a business Gov. Mint coin but a very low mintage coin. I love it!

Proofs should not count because I would have...13, and proofs in my series are relatively cheap.
I would go up to 100K BS mintage with no proofs allowed, I would than have only one coin that would count.
Temporarily leaving coins, and going to bullion, I recently got this, 100 total minted, 50 regular strike and 50 antique finish it’s an interesting reminder of these times with a cool design:

To the best of my knowledge, I only have these two:

I do not have any that low. I guess I am a widget collector.
Not business strikes, but the mintage figures are famously tiny @ 380 for the 1914, and 450 for the 1915

Nice! Old proofs work too.

Survivability is just an important factor as mintage. It's very high for these proofs tho many of the matte proofs were spent.
Real nice coins here.

10,000 exactly.
