I know PWCC has always gotten strong prices, but some of these recent auctions make no sense.
Here is a 1973 Boog Powell PSA 9...

Admittedly this looks like a nice card, but it is a $25-30 card. Every recent sale is in that range. I even bought a nice one myself in the last year for $30. And it’s at $172 with over a day left? Is this just another case of someone getting run up? This is even pushing the limit of how much one would pay if they think it is reviewable. I feel like more and more PWCC auctions are beyond reasonable levels the day the auction starts....

Every single item of theirs seems overpriced to me. I know some have accused them of shilling and there seems to be a strong case for that opinion. They unfortunately always have nice cards, But I stay away, mostly because I can find the same thing cheaper elsewhere.
shipping prices are just unreal. 30.00 shipping for a 50.00 set is just crazy money to spend.
Crazy and stupid money. I just blow by their auctions just like Deans Cards without a second look. A couple I've sold lately have been shipped to the PWCC Vault in Tigard, OR under the buyers name and number. I'm sure they will be flipped--- Allen Iverson and Dwyane Wade may be seeing new highs.
That's nothing; look at these:

It's pure insanity!!!!!!!!!!

It’s too insane and I don’t understand it. I just hope the bubble doesn’t burst for another month. After thinking about it for a while I just sent all my graded rookies to pwcc to be listed in June. Basketball were the craziest. Not sure if the bubble will carry over to the more oddball rookies but testing the waters
Please explain this??

That particular cards is known as the band-aid variation as most of his 1973 cards do not show the band aid. So maybe not as unreasonable as one might think. I about fell out when I saw the price and then realized it was the variation.
The recent passing of Kaline might also have something to do with an upswing in prices.
Wow thank you, that’s still nuts!
I would have never known and now have to check the 73’s
Is there a way to sell short some of these cards?
I checked the finished auctions, and it looks like at least 12 PSA 10 regular Trout RCs have sold for $3K+ in the past week!!!!!
Then there are many more that sold for between $2,600 - $3,000!!!!!

When I first saw this title, Dave, I expected a Wacky card pic!
