It's 153 cards total.. 50s, 60s, 70s,. The
best cards are , 1957 power hitters (possibly trimmed) thurmon Munson rookie, and a second year tom seaver graded a 6.5. Everything else is semi stars and commons. Everything appears to be excellent to NM. I can get the lot for $225-$250. Worth it to grade some and flip? I figure the 3 best are worth $150-$180 for the 3. That leaves everything else to make the rest of the pie. I'm just now getting into and learning baseball. Not looking for a quick flip either . Just want some opinions.

What else would you do with the money, pay the rent?

Looks like a good deal to me. Of course go for the $225 price. FYI the high price of grading now and the market has made grading and flipping commons non-profitable for the most part.

Kinda what I figured. You'd have to find the guy doing graded sets. I don't think I could make a boat load, but feel I should be able to comfortably double my money. But like I said, baseball isn't my expertise.

Who is the Seaver graded by? If it were me, and I was fairly confident the Mantle/Berra was trimmed, I would walk away. Even so, there might be money to be made on the lot, but it doesn’t seem like a lot of profit margin to me.

    Yaz Master Set
    #1 Gino Cappelletti master set
    #1 John Hannah master set

Also collecting Andre Tippett, Patriots Greats' RCs, Dwight Evans, 1964 Venezuelan Topps, 1974 Topps Red Sox

    This would give me pause.

The seaver is graded by BGS. The seller is the one that says the power hitters is trimmed. I asked what makes them think that, he said it appears short top to bottom.

Put the power hitters card up against the ‘58 Pinson. That should give you the answer. Remember the ‘57s did not have large/wide borders for the most part. Even if it is trimmed it has value. A Frank Robinson RC “lightly trimmed” went for $190 last night.

The seller said he did that and it's barely short. Of course that doesn't 100% mean it's trimmed. But in his mind it is. I've submitted cards that were barely short that came back fine. Especially with the 48 leafs. If the card is trimmed it's still a 50-60 dollar card I think. If it comes back a 4 or so it's worth significantly more and would make the whole lot worth it . I'm torn.

Tough call. Be patient. The Munson looks off center top to bottom. Agree with DBesse27 about profit margin and the probability of the most valued card being trimmed. The one that appeals to me is the '64 stand-up Torre.

I wasn't even sure what that Torre even was.. and I figured the Munson had a chance at grading a 7. Even a 6 and it's a $75 card I think. Its hard to say, I haven't seen them in person. So it's all pictures and guess work. The seller was a $300. In my head I'm at $200. He came down to $250 and I told him my max would be $225 IFFFF I decide to buy.

He sent me close up picks of the cards, that Torre looks like a solid 7 to me. PSA 7s look to be in the $100 range.

I got the lot. Power hitters card appears to be trimmed, otherwise beautiful condition. There was a 1934 batter up card in the mix.. and also this. What is it? Looks hand cut.

It's a card cut from the side of a display box of bazooka bubble gum.

Here's an example pulled from eBay.

Thank you. I figured that's what it likely was. Hand cut from a display.
