Does anyone here use 'Informed Delivery' from USPS? (you know, to track card purchases and such)

I do. Here is an example of what you might see. Along with the image below they show scans of other letters you will be receiving. It works pretty good most of the time. Hope this helps.

I rely on it on a daily basis. It really helps.

Yes, it's terrific. I check it daily, too. It shows all mail pieces on a daily basis and packages in transit to your address at any given time.

I would certainly recommend signing up for it. I usually receive the email from USPS by 8:00 a.m. daily, with scans of my letter mail and the tracking numbers for any packages scheduled for that day's delivery. You can dive deeper into your dashboard to see where any other packages that you're expecting are originating from, and approximately where they currently are in the mail stream.

It especially comes in handy on those random purchases where the item is shipped with tracking, but the seller neglects to pass that info along to you, and is radio silent when you try to contact them. If there's a tracked package in the USPS mail stream going to your address, it will show up on your Informed Delivery dashboard automatically, without ever having to get involved with the frustrating unanswered emails requesting tracking info from lazy sellers.
