Simple question, is Paypal friends and family the exact same thing as Paypal gift? I'm on the verge of closing a deal and I don't want the seller to have to pay one cent of taxes on his end, so I want to make sure paypal gift is the exact same thing as Paypal friends and family.

I've used paypal gift on multiple occasions, but I want to make sure that the seller doesn't pay ANY taxes on this deal, it is very important.

Yes, I know there's no protection for the buyer which makes it a risky thing to use.
You will not have any protection from fraud you better really trust the seller.
