Help: Topps product release info/schedule for 80s products - any info out there?

Any hobby shop/dealers from the late 80’s please chime in! Anyone with Topps product release info, recollections?

I’m looking to figure out which Topps packaging type was issued last, excluding factory sets.

Assuming regular wax is first. Are other packaging types released concurrently? If so, throughout the entire run or are some packaging types reserved for later in the card year? For example: do vending boxes or $0.89/$0.99 packs come out later? Conjecture and fading memories welcome!

Specifically, I’m looking for information on 1989 Topps if that’s of any use. To give a little more background, I’m trying to figure out a production timeline and hopefully, a packaging source for a variation that went through two revisions in 1989 Topps.
