Ancient collectors: Some pretty toning in the upcoming HA Morris Collection auction

Seems apparent the collector actively pursued toned examples in a way you don't often see. Interesting and worth a look if you like ancients with a little color:
We are like children who look at print and see a serpent in the last letter but one, and a sword in the last.

I don't collect ancients (...yet...) but was scrolling through and saw some wonderful coins. Really nice eye.

Happy to report that I did acquire my first ancient coins through this auction! I thought the collector did a great job building a set of eye appealing examples. Since this is not my main interest area I focused on a couple modestly priced examples with "crusty color" (trademark pending!).
I enjoy looking at my coins from the 1500-1700s.... amazing to think that these are 2000 years old!
Anyone else win anything?

That last one in the op is on the bay right now.
@Weiss The collector who put these coins together tended to store everything over a period of many years in old paper envelopes. They also truly loved ancient coins.
@Bob13 Congratulations on your purchases! Welcome to the world of ancients.
