Grading Costs

I haven't submitted any cards for grading in over 10 years. I've recently been thinking about subbing some recent basketball issues that are getting some big prices (2012 Silver Prizms, 2009 Topps Chrome Ref, etc..)
I just looked at the services for the first time in a while,....Am I reading this right? It will cost $75/card for anything valued over $1000?

Yes, that looks like the cost.
Since you didn't reveal what exact cards you referring to, you might be able to value them at the "regular" service level @ $50.00 per card. Possibly even at the Economy level. Some of these cards might not be worth what you assume, 10's are very hard to get. If you hit the jackpot, PSA will notify you. If you over value the cards, I doubt that you will be getting any refunds on your submission fees.
I recently got a bunch of 9's on cards that were from factory sets and looked perfect. No 10's at all. I never assume the cards will be at the "10" price.
Either way, the benefit you get from PSA seems to be well worth the price......depending on the card and how well you can guess the grade.
looks like the extra $25 would take the turnaround time from 75 business days to 18
Don't even look at turnaround times, they are meaningless.
